My friend Steve published his Travel EDC (stands for Every Day Carry) a few months ago, and that inspired me to get my act together. I took some inspiration from him and came up with my own.
I have been buying custom pouches from a maker called “DMade” and they are just stunning small bags. Each one is custom made and takes about 1-2 weeks. Here is the one I have.

There are so many options to choose from. I love Challenge Ultra Fabric, which you can read about here.
#2 Nitecore Tiki LE Keychain Flashlight
This is a tiny flashlight and it charges via USB-C and has a red light feature.
This thing is the GOAT. I mean get it now, get one for everyone in your household. If you travel outside the US this is all you will need. It’s also fantastic for airplane use as you can use the UK plug / adapter which is very secure.

This adapter lets you plug a US anything into a UK, EU, Australia plug. Pretty much anywhere in the world.
It’s 20W and has USB-C and USB-A ports (2 each). That’s not a lot of power, but enough to charge your iPhone.
For higher power then I add a
#4 Nomad 65w Slim Power Adapter
At 65W, this is tiny and powerful. Since it is a flat plug design it won’t fall out of the wall so easily and is great for tight spaces.
Here it is plugged into the Anker adapter above. With this set up I have (2) 20W USB-C/A and (2) 65W options.
#5 Nitecore NB Air Ultra Lightweight and Slim USB-C 5000mAh Power Bank
Really tiny battery and enough to charge my phone in an emergency.
#6 Nitecore NLink10 PD QC Fast Charging USB-C Cable
Just tiny and goes well with the battery.
#7 - mcdodo 140W USB-C to Magsafe 3 Adapter
Not really necessary, but I like using this to charge my MacBook since it has an indicator light and turns green when it’s done charging. Also handy if I’m on a plane and yank the charging cable.
#8 Beats USB-C Charging (1.5 m, 5 ft)
These cables are new, from Apple (well Beats is owned by Apple) and very high quality.
5ft is the perfect length for a travel cable. Not too long and better than the shorter 1M or 3ft cables commonly found.
Everything fits in here.
Omar! This is awesome!! Thank you!
Have you ever tried these retractable cables? Not great for plane but I love them everywhere else when traveling https://amzn.to/4lQDuXV
