Some home products that spark joy
Spending so much time at home has caused us to take another look at some of the products in the house as well as food.
I’ve been trying out some products from Open Spaces. These are baskets and other items to organize the home. We have a number of spaces of our house that could use some updating and for that, we love the wire baskets in both medium and large.
We are using them to store hats, masks, and other items in our mudroom. My daughter is using the large baskets to store clothing items in our closet.
They are pricey but also extremley high quality.
Dorai Dish Pad
One reason I love Instagram is the ad targeting. Every so often I am surprised - in this case with the Dorai Dish Pad. We have a very minimalist dish rack in our house and this dish rack is like magic. the stone doesn’t ever get wet. I don’t know how it works but it’s perfect for laying dishes and other items to dry.
They are also coming out with a more traditional dish rack. I personally like the flat and minimalist look of the stone.
We love Crowd Cow and have purchased Bone-in Rib-eyes, Copper River Sockeye Salmon, Artic char, chicken wings, grass-fed New York Strip, Lamb Chops, Ground Beef and Alaska King Crab Legs.
Delivery is fast and items come with dry ice. We Sous Vide everything so things go from the freezer right into the water bath and are ready in 1.5 - 2 hours.
If you have not tried Sous Vide yet - don’t wait. Now is a perfect time. I love the Joule Sous Vide machine as well as the Anova Vacuum Sealer and a good carbon steel skillet.
A good friend recently ordered a gift from us from Planterina. I was so impressed with their packaging and instructions. The plant went from box to table in a few minutes.
Calathea or Prayer plants make for great house plans.
Veles all-purpose cleaner
I’ve been using Veles for a month and really like how well it cleans as well as the smell.
Dr Bronner Organic Personal Care
You’ve probably seen these products before (with the crazy dense labels). I tried their soap once and didn’t like it. However, recently I tried their sugar soap, shaving soap and hair cream fell in love.
Stasher Food bags
I have been using these Stasher Food bags to store cut limes, parmesan cheese (and all cheeses) as well as dried good like peanuts and dog treats. I really love how these are reusable and washable in the dishwasher - and 100% food-safe silicone.
